Dear Fellow Members,

Our M20J has now 1050 Hrs, and we were told that we need to replace the Landing Gear Back-Up Spring (1.000Hrs life time).
We received a quote from Mooney / ACG Air-Craft GmbH (EDFQ) for the Kit M20-282-001, for $802.50 USD, including shipping.
Does anyone did this Service before? Any important informations to share?

Regards,
Frederico

All,

In this year annual we changed the Landing Gear No Back Up Spring in our M20J Allegro, complying with the Service Instruction. No brainer maintenance, except of the inherent and incomprehensible high cost of changing a little part that was in very good conditions.
By the way, in MooneySpace.com I read that many of our fellow Mooniacs from USA do not change this part at all, bu we still decided to do it.

Regards,
Frederico
