Dear Mooniacs,
in the past months I have been to Paris several times and especially for those coming from the east I can recommend Lognes airfield (LFPL) as a great gateway to this magnificient city. The airport offers a 700 m concrete runway and approach and departure are obstacle free. There is quite some traffic but the little tower handles it very professionally. It merits to take a look at the Paris area chart since the major airports of Charles de Gaulle, Le Bourget and Orly are all close by and you have to observe some altitude restrictions.
Lognes aéroport offers the possibility to fuel AVGAS with or without Total card, has a restaurant, a Hertz rental car station and public transportation to Paris is straightforward. Fees are also quite cheap for the services offered.
Have fun et bon vol!
